Despina Trivolis was born and raised in Athens. She has been working as a journalist, editor and digital communications consultant for a number of publications and institutes in Athens and London, including The Guardian, The Huffington Post, and the Τhompson Reuters Institute at Oxford University. She loves reading and writing stories about cities, culture and urban society. Her not-so-secret hobby is writing about food and its culture and designing food and travel experiences. Despina's favourite pastimes include walking aimlessly around Athens and eating souvlaki with pita.
