The Little Prince Blues by Giannis Aggelakas
Giannis Aggelakas returns to the Onassis Stegi Main Stage with The Little Prince Blues: When you touch ground, you have already grown up, a music theatre performance inspired by Antoine de Saint Exupéry’s timeless book and reimagined through sound, spoken word, and live performance. Drawing on the emotional weight of the blues, the piece unfolds as a poetic journey through memory, childhood, loss, and resistance, shaped by Aggelakas’ long standing dialogue with the text since his teenage years.
Directed by award winning filmmaker Yorgos Goussis, the performance moves between narration, music, and song, transforming The Little Prince into an electrified stage universe. References to Pavlos Sidiropoulos’ The Prince’s Blues echo throughout, while words and sound travel between earthly conflicts and interplanetary encounters. At its core, the work reflects on what is lost when childhood is forgotten, and what remains possible when imagination, love, and friendship are reclaimed.
Selected performances offer full accessibility services, including Greek surtitles, audio description, and tactile stage tours, ensuring an inclusive experience for a wide audience.
