Photographer Robert McCabe takes us on a journey back in time through his black and white images of the city's famous ruins, monuments and streets. From the Parthenon to Sounion, this was Athens in the 1950s.

Chicago-born Robert McCabe has traveled the world with his camera, his journeys recorded in 12 books of photography. In 1954 he took his first shot of Greece and never stopped.
