SNF Run: 2026 First Run
Start the new year on the right foot with the return of the SNF RUN: 2026 FIRST RUN on Thursday, 1 January 2026, at 12.04 am. This festive 3K race, taking place around the beautifully lit Esplanade at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC), is open to all. It’s a noncompetitive event where official times will be kept, so you can track your personal achievement and aim to beat it next year.
The race is organized by the nonprofit Regeneration & Progress and the Department of Sports Excellence at the University of Athens Medical School, with the aim of promoting fitness and wellness as part of the SNFCC’s New Year’s celebrations. As a charitable event, participants are invited to contribute a minimum of €5 (or more if desired) to support the nonprofit organization Home of Love.
The race will be preceded by a huge New Year's Eve Party at the SNFCC, starting at 10.30 pm, with live music, festive lights, and a spectacular fireworks display to usher in 2026 in style.
