Fancy a sunset run through downtown Athens that will see you crossing the finish line at one of the capital’s must-see cultural landmarks?
The SNF Nostos Run is a prized fixture of Athens’ sporting calendar – and a centrepiece of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Centre’s high-energy summer festival (SNF Nostos). This special race includes 6K and 10K courses, as well as a 1K course for Special Olympics athletes. It’s free to enter – but runners who want to give back can contribute a symbolic participation fee for a nominated charity and see it doubled by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation. And while Covid cast its shadow over last year’s event; turning it into a virtual race, competitors from Athens to Chania, Berlin, London and New York still helped raise €7,000, which was tripled through the SNF’s additional boost, to support hospitals around Greece.
Are you happy to go the distance for a good cause?
