Between Void and Matter
If you love contemporary art, and sculpture in particular, and happen to find yourself near the National Garden, make sure to stop by Between Void and Matter at P Gallery Sculpture.
The space is dedicated entirely to sculpture and, for this exhibition, brings together five names in abstract art from Greece and abroad: Achilleas Apergis, Costas Coulentianos, Claude Mercier, Dietrich Mohr and Marino di Teana. Each artist explores shape, balance and emptiness, creating works that blur the line between solid form and open space.
Just across from the Benaki Museum of Greek Culture, which is filled with pieces representing local tradition, this exhibition presents the opposite end of the spectrum — abstract creations where light, shadow and structure come together in striking ways. It’s a thoughtful and visually engaging visit that invites you to pause, look closer, and reflect on what lies beyond what you can see.
