Onassis Discussions: Bella Freud in Conversation with Afroditi Panagiotakou
Whenever winter rolls around, Onassis Stegi becomes a go-to hub for discussions that shake up the city's intellectual scene. This December, British fashion designer, artist, and all-round British It girl Bella Freud—daughter of painter Lucian Freud and great-granddaughter of Sigmund—takes the Main Stage to lay style on the couch alongside Director of Culture Afroditi Panagiotakou.
Building on her wildly popular Fashion Neurosis podcast, Freud uses a simple question, "What are you wearing today?", as a prism to unpack identity, memory, and obsession. Famous for her cult slogan knits (Ginsberg is God, 1970) and eclectic collaborations with Nick Cave and John Malkovich, she brings her sharp, playful aesthetic to Athens for an evening examining how what we wear speaks long before we do.
It promises to be a great night out on Syngrou Avenue, perfect before grabbing dinner nearby. Discover more talks and cultural events taking place across Athens.
