For three sun-soaked days, Syntagma Square will switch out its concrete steps for premium quartz sand to host the dramatic conclusion of the 32nd Panhellenic Beach Volleyball Championship. Co-organised by the Hellenic Volleyball Federation and the City of Athens (OPANDA), this massive pop-up court brings coastal energy straight to the historic centre.

The formula is sleek: Greece’s top eight men’s and women’s duos will go head-to-head for the ultimate national title. High-quality grandstands, giant outdoor replay screens, and an interactive fan zone programme will take over the plaza, turning the city’s civic hub into a full-scale sports stadium. Grab an iced coffee, find a slice of shade near the fountain, and watch the country’s best players dig and spike in the shadow of the Hellenic Parliament. The venue features shaded seating areas and misting cooling systems to help spectators beat the late-July heat.
