Sun Ra Arkestra
Legendary musician Sun Ra may have left this world for the cosmic vastness that often inspired him, but his legacy lives on with his afrofuturistic Arkestra. Under the guidance of saxophonist Marshall Allen, the Sun Ra Arkestra keeps performing around the globe and is sought after by festivals, major museums and cultural institutions, as well as every respectable fan of free jazz. The avant-garde group will perform at the SNFCC as part of the Centre's COSMOS series, just in time for the celebration of Marshall Allen's 95th birthday.
