What's that sound that fills the air? It's Christmas Carols calling us to Palio Faliro and the SNFCC. On December 1st, Christmas World, which takes over the cultural centre until the beginning of January, kicks off with a magnificent event. Be there at 7 pm to experience the moment when the grounds are lit up with 80 festively decorated trees and with five new light installations. The children’s choir and orchestra El Sistema will perform festive songs at the Agora before handing over to Michael Mwenso and the Shakes who will get the party started with their “Afrofuturistic Christmas Wonderland” straight from Harlem.
But this is only the beginning of the fun. Until early January, you can enjoy gliding on the Ice Rink, sip on savoury cocktails with panoramic views at the Lighthouse, try melomakarona and kourabiedes, and attend festive-themed Cosmos concerts. For kids of all ages there’s also a LED-adorned hula hoop workshop. The grand finale on January 7th features a live concert dedicated to Elvis Presley. Here’s to a joyful festive season!
