SNF Nostos 2026
Well into the Athenian summer, SNF Nostos 2026 (21–28 June) returns to the iconic Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC). Celebrating 30 years of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF), this free, week-long festival brings together global voices, bold ideas and standout cultural experiences in one of the city’s most dynamic settings.
At SNF Nostos 2026, themed “30 years with humanity at the Core”, the select group of leaders spans sports, technology, futurism, and journalism. To name but a few, Giannis Antetokounmpo, NBA superstar, embodies global athletic influence. Karen Hao, tech journalist and AI ethicist, shapes critical conversations on technology’s societal impact. Pedro de Senna, Brazilian futurist and educator, blends innovation with cultural insight. Menna El-Assady, ETH Zurich professor, advances human-centered data visualization. Lisa Gibbs, Pulitzer Center CEO, champions impactful global journalism. Together, they represent a convergence of talent and vision driving ideas that resonate worldwide.
At its core is the SNF Nostos Conference, where international speakers explore pressing issues shaping society, health, education, culture and the future. Across the SNFCC, themed spaces, performances and interactive activities create an open, vibrant atmosphere for all ages, alongside the much-loved SNF Nostos Run along the Athenian Riviera. As night falls, the spotlight shifts to the highly anticipated Release Athens x SNF Nostos concerts.
On 21 June, David Byrne, with support from Nation of Language, takes over the Great Lawn.
On 22 June, electronic music pioneer Jean-Michel Jarre delivers a spectacular immersive audiovisual show.
On 25 June, at Water Plaza, Gorillaz headline a major open-air bill joined by The Flaming Lips and Jehnny Beth.
If you have already reached the SNFCC for Nostos, don’t miss Barbara Kruger’s Untitled (Pride and Contempt), where giant works placed in open public space invite reflection on who speaks, who listens and how power circulates in society. From thought-provoking dialogue to stadium-scale art and live music, SNF Nostos captures Athens at its most forward-thinking and most electric.
