Imagine five young blokes from the UK, in their teens, listening to records of Iggy Pop, Jesus and Mary Chain, The Fall and Wire, building up on punk and rock 'n' roll momentum. Now, give these five rebels a drum set, guitars, bass and a microphone and lock them up in a garage for a while. South London punk band Shame is considered to be amongst the greatest punk acts of late, thanks to their undeniably unfiltered authenticity that has yet to be smudged by stardom or the music industry's compomise. It's not their first time in Athens and we only mention this to the credit of the people behind EJEKT Festival, who make sure that Athens gets to enjoy promising rock acts before they even make it big. It's going to be a loud night at Fuzz, that's for sure—and a safe one at that, since it is, of course, a COVID-free event.
