Park Your Cinema 2026
The Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC) is reviving the romance of Athenian summer nights with its open-air screening series, Park Your Cinema. Ditching traditional theatre seats, the lush Great Lawn transforms into a vibrant outdoor cinema under the stars, complete with a giant screen and the natural soundtrack of cicadas and a cool sea breeze. This year’s curation leans heavily into rhythm, energy, and melody, showcasing legendary, show-stopping musicals that celebrate the timeless joy of shared cinematic storytelling.
Inclusivity is at the heart of the program, with several dates designated as Sensory Friendly Screenings in partnership with TheHappyAct. These sessions feature lower volumes and a relaxed atmosphere where viewers can move freely with no requirement for silence. Audiences are invited to bring a picnic blanket, spread out on the grass, and completely immerse themselves in a stellar lineup ranging from dark musical masterpieces to golden-era classics.
