Same old story. The Milano Design Film Festival was supposed to make its debut in Athens back in March. Venues were set, films were chosen, plans were made. Faced with the dilemma of going digital or postponing, the MDFF came up with something in-between. Their main event has moved to 2021, with a pre-launch event series taking place this November, titled Design in Film Around the City of Athens. The programme is an aesthete's banquet of film screenings, talks and seminars that touch on the evolution and role of design language and visual culture. The French Institute of Greece, Serafeio Complex, the Vorres Museum, InMind Headquarters & Showroom, Shila Hotel, Blue Cycle Lab, Shedia Home and European Cultural Center are amongst the festival's chosen venues. Some of the events will take place physically, as others will be streamed online. It's not all armchair arts though. Architecture-themed bike rides around landmark Athenian buildings and off the beaten track walks are also on the agenda. Keep in touch with MDFF's Facebook page and website for more information on the upcoming programme.
