Last Chance: HOMO ANIMALIS
One of several exhibitions in Athens currently rethinking how we see animals, HOMO ANIMALIS invites visitors into a rich visual dialogue on the human/animal bond.
At the Yannis Pappas Studio Museum, this is your last chance to see a show that explores the complex bond between humans and animals through a dynamic dialogue between generations of artists.
Works by students from the Athens School of Fine Arts respond to the powerful sculptures and sketches of Yannis Pappas, whose emblematic Horse and Rider captures the symbolic unity of man and beast.
The result is an interesting mix of past and present — with several provocative interpretations that question identity, symbolism, and coexistence.
