Joshua Redman Group feat. Gabrielle Cavassa
Virtuoso saxophonist Joshua Redman created his new album Where are we to be more than just a jazz music project. His performance that will take place at the Athens Concert Hall is a politically conscious journey that uses music to tell the stories of America. This project brings together talented musicians, who share Joshua Redman's vision, and features singer Gabrielle Cavassa for the first time in the ensemble. All but one track are named after different states ("After Minneapolis", "Streets of Philadelphia", "Alabama",) and the closing track “Where Are You?” calls for the audience to listen carefully and reflect on the importance of a place.
