4th Independent Film Festival KINO

If you feel spoiled for choice, that is exactly the point of KINO Athens. For ten days, the International Independent Film Festival of Athens turns the city into a moving cinema map, with screenings across venues such as Technopolis City of Athens, the Michael Cacoyannis Foundation, Cinobo Opera 2, Micromosmos Cinema, the Hellenic American Union, the Goethe Institute, the Italian Institute, and more.

A good way to navigate the programme is to anchor your visit around the festival bookends, then fill the gaps with whatever mood you are in. The opening film is Stereo Girls (Les Immortelles) on Thursday, 12 March at 8:00 pm, followed by an after screening cocktail, while the closing day on Sunday, 22 March includes the awards and closing film Un Anno Di Scuola at 8:00 pm, then a closing party at 10:00 pm at Technopolis.
