Heilung

  1. Copied to clipboard

Are you ready for a wild ride atop Lycabettus Hill? The experimental pagan folk collective Heilung is coming to (the highest peak of) town. Known for transcending traditional musical boundaries, their live performances are a visual feast featuring intricate costumes that reflect Eurasian spiritual traditions and a deeply ritualistic atmosphere. Heilung, whose music has even graced iconic productions such as Vikings and Game of Thrones, is now coming to the City of Athens Lycabettus Theatre for an unforgettable live performance.

Founded in Copenhagen in 2014, Heilung draws inspiration from ancient texts and runic inscriptions, creating a soundscape that channels the vibes of early mediaeval Northern Europe. Their latest album, Drif (2022), is a treat, featuring Iron Age instruments, such as drums and bones , that truly bring the ancient world to life.
