Did you know that in Taiwan, food and society are so interwoven that people often ask each other “Have you eaten yet?” as a way of saying hello? Using the moon's calendar, their year is divided into 24 solar seasons, each with a different role in nourishing their bodies and bestowing balance. See firsthand how it all works at a special public tasting event where 24 dishes will be served up to represent these ancient Taiwanese solar periods - but with Greek ingredients. The culinary jaunt is part of the Victoria Square Project and will be hosted by artists Ching-Yu Cheng and Yi-Ling Hung over a series of three events. The Victoria Square Project was set up as a social space in 2017 for local migrant and refugee communities to meet, learn, exchange and help each other through art.
