Black Art Jazz Collective
You know it's autumn in Athens when Half Note Jazz Club starts announcing concerts. The legendary jazz joint in Mets has set its agenda for the following months and Black Art Jazz Collective are launching the season. Formed during an important period for black identity in the arts in the early 2010s, the BAJC is an ensemble of accomplished young African American musicians who felt it was necessary to celebrate black culture in a positive way—and some post and hard bop. The sextet will be around for four shows during the weekend, a great excuse for bit of bar-hopping in Pangrati.
