Athens Pride 2025: 20 Years
Love remains the loudest protest.
Athens Pride returns this June under the banner “We Count”, with its flagship event — the Pride Parade — taking place on Saturday 14 June. Starting at Syntagma Square with speeches and performances, the evening builds up to a mass march through the city centre: a powerful celebration of visibility, resistance and queer joy.
Leading up to Parade Day, Pride Week fills the city with panel discussions, workshops and community gatherings. Highlights include talks on trans rights, active ageing, LGBTQI+ parenting, and inclusion in education — plus the return of the Glitter Run (17 May) and the popular Open Air Party on Pittaki Street (11 June).
Two major concerts also frame this year’s Pride Week, both produced by the Athens Epidaurus Festival: Arca (31 May), the boundary-pushing Venezuelan artist, and Nalyssa Green & Guests (6 June), in a collaborative show celebrating queer musical voices — both staged at the City of Athens Lycabettus Theatre.
