Athens Photo Festival 2026
Constantly reinventing itself, the Athens Photo Festival is a biennial event that champions diversity through the celebration of visual culture. This year's edition, officially billed as APhF:26, takes over the industrial spaces of the Benaki Museum on Pireos Street. The venue transforms into a massive gallery, bringing together works by seventy emerging and established artists from almost thirty countries. It is a brilliant way to tap into the city's contemporary art scene, offering a deep dive into classic documentary photography, conceptual prints, and interactive video installations.
Beyond the main hub, the festival extends its footprint across the city with a satellite programme of independent exhibitions, artist talks, and portfolio reviews. Whether you are an industry professional looking to connect with international curators or simply interested in how visual storytelling shapes modern society, the festival provides a compelling look at the world through the lens.
