Full Moon Film Marathon 2026
Pack a blanket and prepare for an all-night cinematic vigil on the Great Lawn of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center. This summer, the annual Full Moon Film Marathon pays tribute to one of cinema’s greatest visionaries, Stanley Kubrick. It is exactly where locals flock to catch the cooler night air, transforming the park into a massive open-air cinema under the gaze of the August full moon.
The marathon screens five of Kubrick's definitive masterpieces back-to-back, tracking his career through striking visual philosophy, dark satire, and psychological tension. Because this is a true dusk-to-dawn event, bringing along a cushion or a yoga mat to stay comfortable on the grass is highly recommended. To keep the atmosphere lively through the early hours, pop-up bars will be serving refreshing Aperol cocktails throughout the night.
