Photography Exhibition: Together, Visible
Presented as part of the WOW Athens 2026 festival, the open-air photography exhibition Together, Visible lines the perimeter of Stavros Niarchos Park. Running through late August in collaboration with the MOMus-Thessaloniki Museum of Photography, this public showcase features twelve contemporary artists from the museum's permanent collection. Together, they weave a polyphonic narrative that explores and redefines the female experience, using the power of the lens to confront complex themes of identity, memory, social roles, migration, and the fundamental human need for belonging.
The featured photographers use a diverse array of practices, moving from intimate self-portraits and staged imagery to raw documentary photography to bridge personal experience with public discourse. A particularly moving highlight of the exhibition is Olga Stefatou’s evocative series Chrysalis, presented within the section "Transformation and Visibility: The Body as a Claim." These striking images are paired with the real-life testimonies of three women from Afghanistan and Iran, grounding the artistic visuals in a profound display of human resilience and survival.
