Φ hill Sessions 2026

Φ hill Sessions returns for its second year to the atmospheric Dora Stratou Theatre on Philopappos Hill, presenting a rich programme of 16 concerts by acclaimed Greek and international artists. Following a hugely successful debut, the festival returns enriched and expanded, reaffirming its place as one of Athens’ most exciting cultural summer destinations.

Set on the Hill of the Muses, where nature, history, and contemporary city life meet beneath the Athenian sky in a truly mythical setting, Φ hill Sessions creates a unique open-air experience that blends music, landscape, and the spirit of Athens. Overlooking the Acropolis, the historic Dora Stratou Theatre was built in 1963 for the “Dora Stratou” Greek Dance Theatre Company and features a permanent stage design by renowned Greek painter Spyros Vassiliou, making it one of the city’s most atmospheric performance venues.

Running from June through September 2026, this year’s festival brings together artists spanning jazz, rock, ethnic, traditional, electronic, and contemporary music. The programme features beloved Greek acts including Heimerinoi Kolymvites, Maria Papageorgiou, Giannis Aggelakas and Savina Yannatou, alongside international highlights such as two-time Grammy Award winner Nate Smith, legendary Italian singer-songwriter Vinicio Capossela, The Kilimanjaro Darkjazz Ensemble, and Grandbrothers.
