The Athens City Festival, the biggest annual spring festival of Athens is back! Athens City Festival will take place throughout the whole of May (yes, you got that right, a 31-day-long festival) with free entrance* events happening all around the city. Consisting of four main pillars—Exhibitions, Gastro-Culture, Entertainment, and Outdoor Athens—the festival aims to showcase both the essential and the understated traits of our unconventional city, offering visitors a first-hand experience of the Athens way of living life. This year ACF includes more than 120 events catering to all tastes, types and ages, making May the ideal season to pay a visit to our side of the Mediterranean. Leaving the Acropolis Museum without a visit to its fabulous restaurant (and its plush museum shop) is wrong by the book of any seasoned traveller. This May, as part of the Athens City Festival, you get the chance to book a dinner table with the most sought-out view in town; the marble marvel of the Parthenon. Savour a multi-course dinner that focuses on contemporary Greek cuisine, made with the finest local ingredients and paired with some of the best labels the country’s vineyards have to offer. Last year’s event was an instant sell-out, so we can only guess how this one’s going to go.

Update: The Benaki Museum of Greek Culture and the lovely people of Shedia Home have also joined the programme, so there should be a reservation available for you if you missed out on the Acropolis dinner.
