Vassilenas

“Vassilenas” is a true Athenian institution with a history that spans almost a hundred years. Born as a humble taverna in an impoverished neighborhood close to the Piraeus port in 1920, it later became the iconic restaurant of the 50s and 60s where Winston Churchill and Sofia Laren, Tayron Power and Romy Schneider have dined. Relocated to the center of Athens in 2006, it has become a modern, cosmopolitan restaurant offering creative Greek cuisine and winning culinary awards year after year. A long journey filled with memories of family recipes that continue to inspire our cuisine today.
