Elegance, refinement and authenticity. These are the words that describe the atmosphere and philosophy of Spondi. Created by Apostolos Trastelis in 1996, the restaurant is now a point of reference in Greece, as it is the only restaurant which has been awarded with 2 Michelin Stars for eleven consecutive years (2008 until today). Discreet, intimate, with two delightful courtyards and two equally charming dining rooms - one in an elegant room built from reclaimed bricks in the style of a vaulted cellar. Our food is prepared with the freshest of products, and thus the menu changes according to the seasons and, of course, according to the creative imagination of our Chef. He treads skilfully between creativity and tradition, modernity and classicism. He delights the eye with artful presentation and the mouth with exquisite flavours touched by a hint of exoticism. Top quality seasonal ingredients are used in imaginative, deftly executed and stunningly presented modern French dishes. Greek, French and Italian wines feature on an impressive list. Such food, served impeccably, deserves an appropriate atmosphere, elegant and stylish, which Spondi, a member of the prestigious “Grandes Tables du Monde” is proud to offer. The restaurant is situated in the center of Athens, in the district of Pagrati, next to the little square of Varnava, 100m behind the Panathenaic marble stadium, where the 1st modern Olympic Games took place.

Awards: | Spondi and its team has been collecting international awards and distinctions, since 2001. Spondi is 2-Michelin-Star Restaurant and a proud member of Grande Table du Monde, while Trip Advisor is recommending us with a Certificate of Excellence. Spondi was the first Relais Gourmand restaurant in Greece by the guide Relais & Chateaux. For twelve consecutive years has been voted “Best Restaurant in Greece” by Athinorama’s “Golden Chef’s Hat Award”. At the FNL Best Restaurant Awards 2016 and 2017, Spondi wοn the INTERNATIONAL HIGH GASTRONOMY trophy. |
