proAV: the updates!
Based on our previous updates, we continued along the same path, working across a variety of different “scenarios” and venues. So, it feels like the right moment for a brief catch-up.
Our first stop, will be Athens City Events. For yet another month, we had the pleasure of collaborating with the venue, and we would also like to highlight two partners whose cooperation made the experience quite enjoyable.
We’ll start with Star Bulk, a partnership that quickly became one of the highlights of this period. We met them through our partnership with the venue, and their choice to host their event at the Glasshouse made our meeting possible. Although it was one of the last “Start of the Season” events we came across this year, it turned out to be as exciting as it could. We were responsible for the full AV coverage which gave us the freedom to design and execute the technical setup, the way we know. Let’s start with the sound coverage, which was based on a live act from the amazing Tonis Sfinos and a DJ set from Antonis Dimitriades. From the sound system and band elements, to the DJ booth and the stage design, we settled everything with the level of precision we usually go for. We also experimented with projecting the client’s logo above the venue’s main bar façade, which serves as the visual centerpiece of the space. However, what we truly enjoyed, was working with the lighting design. Using the twenty robotic moving heads suspended from a ceiling truss system, we added two truss totems with four additional robotic heads, to make the ambience and the party even more playful. And all that in combination with no other, than the astera tubes, installed along the curves of the ceiling, giving movement to the architecture of the venue. What I like to call, a lighting party!
Our second partner was Producta, an advertising company, that wants to host a launch event for one of its clients. Being in the Glasshouse, some elements of the setup were similar to those mentioned previously. Once again, we made the choice of place the astera tubes on along the curves of the ceiling to add dimension, while additional lighting was installed to properly highlight the speakers and the displayed cars. This time, however, we moved away from the concept of a traditional stage. Instead, we delivered the visual content through a central LED wall that became the main point of the event. The rest of the setup focused on the sound system, from the microphones required for the speeches to the carefully positioned speakers that made sure we had a balanced coverage throughout the venue. Although it may appear to be a simple setup often requires thoughtful planning to achieve the wanted result.
Next, we moved to the Technopolis of Athens for the Whisky Live Festival, a two day festival dedicated to the whisky, with booths, masterclasses, workshops and of course special VIP whisky editions, to taste. The audiovisual coverage we provided was fully aligned and carefully designed to support the key elements of the festival. Speakers across the venue ensuring consistent sound coverage, while architectural lighting helped shape the atmosphere of the space. Also, screens were installed for the workshops etc. Altogether, the event was after all even more engaging than expected.
And of course, an event we had the pleasure to support, as we did last year, in our well known Serafeio, the presentation of the DEI Tour Of Hellas 2026 by the Cycling Greece Organizing Committee. Using a backdrop with a projection window as the main visual element, we designed the setup around a carefully arranged stage and a podium for the speakers. The rest of the equipment followed a focused approach. Lighting was installed both for the speakers and as architectural lighting, in order to paint the venue according the colors and identity of the event, while the sound system ensured that every attendee could hear the hosts and speakers clearly throughout the space. It is always a pleasure to support events that are that significant for the city and the community.
As per usual, stay connected with us on our social media channels and keep an eye out for what’s coming next.
