proAV for the Arts: Marina Satti, Onirama, Athens Rhythm Hop

The past few weeks have been a creative journey for the proAV team, with three distinct events connected by a shared focus: the performing arts.

On Thursday, April 24th, we found ourselves in the iconic setting of Technopolis Athens, working behind the scenes, managing the technical setup for Marina Satti’s much-anticipated album release show. Her new album, POP TOO, is already climbing the charts—and the show was every bit as bold as the music itself.

Our setup focused heavily on dynamic lighting design, with a rig that featured a range of Diablo moving robotic heads, LED lights, and Astera tubes. Programming rapid color transitions, strobe effects, and synchronized cueing to match the high-energy performance was a truly satisfying process. The result? A vibrant, almost disorienting lightscape that aligned perfectly with Marina’s eclectic style and the concert’s audiovisual concept.

By the end of the night, the venue «went out of control» —both live and online. TikTok was flooded with viral clips from lucky attendees, and of course, we couldn’t resist sharing our own moments too.

Almost a week later, on April 30th, we found ourselves in one of the most vibrant and welcoming neighborhoods of Nea Smyrni, where the municipality hosted its first spring festival of the season—and we were proud to be part of it.

The popular Greek band ONIRAMA headlined the event, turning the square into an open-air concert space filled with energy and music. To ensure the sound matched the excitement, we equipped the venue with a powerful NEXO system, known for its clarity and coverage. The result? Impeccable audio across the entire area, leaving no corner untouched—and no attendee unimpressed.

But the festivities didn’t stop there. The very next day, May 1st, Nea Smyrni Square also hosted Pavlos Karpodinis and his five-member band, presenting a heartfelt program of modern artistic and traditional Greek songs dedicated to the spirit of the day.

From singing to swinging, our next stop was all about dancing. Returning to the familiar grounds of Serafio, we partnered with the Athens Rhythm Hop team to support their four-day annual swing festival.

With a packed schedule of masterclasses, talks, outdoor activities, and parties, the event required a versatile technical setup. We provided a full stage structure, an audio system for consistent sound coverage, and (naturally) an abundance of lighting. The lighting design made each night’s party magnetic. If the full dancefloor is anything to go by, the mission was a success.

Overall, we’ve been moving at full volume.

See you at the next show.
