CONVIN: From scientific specialization to the international technology stage
An exceptionally active first quarter marked the beginning of 2026 for CONVIN, with the company delivering a series of scientific congresses in Greece while also maintaining a presence at one of Europe’s leading technology forums.
This activity reflects a dual trajectory: a strong foothold within the medical and academic community, alongside a growing engagement with cutting-edge fields such as robotics and artificial intelligence.
Congresses focused on scientific relevance
During the first quarter of the year, the company organized four specialized scientific events:
The 20th Panhellenic Medical Congress on Obesity highlighted contemporary approaches to managing a condition that continues to place
increasing pressure on healthcare systems, with a strong emphasis on interdisciplinary treatment.
The 2nd Intocus International Conference: Heritage, Cultural Tourism and Sustainability explored the intersection between cultural heritage and
sustainable tourism development, at a time when the tourism sector is being redefined through the lens of resilience.
The 2nd Paediatric Rheumatology Scientific Meeting served as a platform for knowledge exchange in a rapidly evolving field, underlining the
importance of early diagnosis and updated therapeutic strategies.
The congress Metabolic Bone Diseases - Literature Update 2026 translated the latest scientific evidence on osteoporosis and related
conditions into clinical practice.
A common thread across these events was their focus on specialized fields and the dissemination of up-to-date scientific knowledge.
Insights from the European Robotics Forum 2026
At the international level, CONVIN participated in the European Robotics Forum 2026 (ERF 2026), held in Stavanger, Norway, from March 23 to 27.
The forum is one of Europe’s key platforms for dialogue on robotics and artificial intelligence, bringing together researchers, industry leaders, and policy stakeholders. This year’s edition focused on AI-driven robotics, human–machine collaboration, and applications across sectors such as energy, maritime industries, and healthcare.
Particular emphasis was placed on the maturation of technologies that until recently remained largely experimental, including humanoid robotics and autonomous systems capable of operating in real-world environments.
Looking ahead to ERF 2028
The company’s presence in Stavanger is directly linked to its role as the organizer of the European Robotics Forum 2028, which will take place in Athens.
In a context where the ERF serves as a hub for shaping strategic directions in European robotics, the 2028 edition is expected to further strengthen Greece’s position within this landscape.
In the meantime, the next forum (ERF 2027) will be hosted in Birmingham, United Kingdom, continuing the event’s annual sequence.
The broader picture
CONVIN’s activity during the first months of 2026 reflects a consistent presence across two distinct yet increasingly interconnected domains: specialized scientific knowledge and technological innovation.
This parallel trajectory highlights the evolving role of congresses as platforms for knowledge exchange, but also as environments where developments in science and technology are actively shaped.
