ERA: Summer Wishes & Remarkable Conference Triumphs

ERA maintains its dynamic momentum as it progresses through the year, accumulating a remarkable record of accomplishment of achievements.

ERA took on the responsibility of organizing the 37th International Congress of the Hellenic Society of Intraocular Implant and Refractive Surgery, which took place from March 2nd to March 4th. This marked the fourth consecutive year of hosting the conference, and it garnered even more excitement with the inclusion of the United Kingdom & Ireland Society of Cataract & Refractive Surgeons (UKISCRS). For over 35 years, this annual conference has been a highly anticipated event within the ophthalmological community, serving as a platform for discovering and discussing the latest scientific and technological advancements in cataract, corneal, and refractive surgery. ERA felt privileged to be part of this remarkable event, which attracted an overwhelming number of participants and achieved a sponsorship record, further adding to our successful portfolio.

ERA achieved yet another milestone by orchestrating the 25th Panhellenic Congress of Anesthesiology in Corfu, a prominent gathering organized by the Hellenic Society of Anesthesiology. This huge event, made possible through the collaborative efforts of the Conference Committees, various scientific Societies, and the invaluable support of Medical and Pharmaceutical Societies, featured a comprehensive program comprising lectures, roundtable discussions, clinical tutorials, oral and e-poster presentations, and corporate showcases. Its primary objective was to disseminate the latest knowledge and practices in diverse domains of Anesthesiology, benefitting all attendees. However, for ERA, this accomplishment held a deeper significance as it culminated in the establishment of a permanent and outstanding organizational framework, the result of years of fruitful collaboration.

Finally yet importantly, ERA undertook the organization of the 33rd European Symposium on Computer-Aided Process Engineering (ESCAPE-33) that took place on June 18th to June 21st, 2023. The ESCAPE-33 event was organized under the auspices of the European Federation of Chemical Engineering (EFCE Event No. 776), the CAPE Working Party (CAPE-WP), the Technical Chamber of Greece, the Pan Hellenic Association of Chemical Engineers, and the National Technical University of Athens. ERA's success story unfolded during a conference that set out to attract 400 attendees but exceeded expectations with a remarkable turnout of 800 participants from around the globe. Throughout the day, the rooms were consistently full, and once the clock struck 17:00, participants had the opportunity to explore Athens and immerse themselves in its vibrant culture. ERA meticulously planned a diverse social program, offering unforgettable experiences exclusive to Athens, alongside daily time slots reserved for visiting the Acropolis.

Wishing you a delightful summer filled with tranquility and relaxation. Stay tuned, as there's more to come after the summer season!
