Athens Walking Tours: Tours must go on

With a challenging year behind us, during which we managed to keep our tours, visitors and staff covid-free, 2021 will be one of the most significant years for tourism to date.  The world slowly but steadily recovers from the pandemic, vaccinations continue, and we at Athens Walking Tours are ready to face another interesting season.

Since last year’s re-opening of the Athenian Acropolis and the surrounding sites, we were able to conduct all our tours without a single Covid-19 case, thanks to our careful planning and preparation, and the responsibility of our guides. It goes without saying that all safety measures we began following since day 1 of the pandemic are still in force: Protective masks, contactless temperature tests, use of antiseptics, sanitized ear sets and social distancing have already become practices of our daily routine.

With traveling resuming and the museums reopening we will continue to offer our visitors the opportunity to enjoy a safe and enjoyable tour of Athens’ marvellous monuments and sites.  More specifically, we have designed new tours with smaller groups, up to eight people, and guaranteed departure. Additionally, we offer free cancellation for all small group tours, in case there is need for postponement due to covid-19. Finally, we decided to expand our range of private tours. Of course, we continue to offer our custom-made virtual tours for people who cannot yet travel.

We look forward to welcoming the new and exciting season, always bearing in mind and looking out for any possible changes in health regulations and safety measures.  The industry is changing fast, now faster than ever, and we intend to carry on creating new tours and designing new activities for our guests, having safety as our first and foremost priority. Summer '21, please be safe and fun; we are ready for you!
