Variant Effect Prediction Training Course (VEPTC) 2026
Athens has been confirmed as the host city for the 10th anniversary edition of the Variant Effect Prediction Training Course (VEPTC), scheduled to take place from 27 to 30 September 2026. This milestone event marks the return of the course to Greece, a decade after its inaugural session.
The VEPTC 2026 provides a high-level, hands-on technical programme focused on the interpretation of genomic variants. Designed for researchers, molecular geneticists and clinicians, the course addresses the complexities of Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) data analysis and the application of ACMG classification frameworks. The curriculum is led by an international panel of experts, offering interactive, case-based training essential for professionals in the field of clinical diagnostics.
The selection of Athens for this decennial edition underscores the city’s established position as a hub for specialised scientific training and medical education. The event will be hosted at the President Hotel Athens, utilizing the venue’s technical facilities for the requirements of the workshop.
