64th ERSA Congress
From 26 to 29 August 2025, Athens will host the 64th Annual Congress of the European Regional Science Association (ERSA), the largest international event in regional science, attracting 800–1,000 participants from across the globe.
Under the theme “Regional Science in Turbulent Times: In search of a resilient, sustainable and inclusive future,” the congress will explore how regional science can respond to today’s complex challenges—economic uncertainty, migration, and the lasting impact of the pandemic.
The programme features over 1,100 presentations, nearly 100 special sessions, and keynote talks by leading experts including Jacques-François Thisse, Themis Christophidou, and Michael Storper.
Held at Panteion University, in the heart of Athens and easily reached by public transport, ERSA2025 will offer a vibrant platform for academic exchange and international collaboration in one of Europe’s most historic capitals.
