28th Conference of the World Organisation of Neurosonology (WON) 2026

The 28th Conference of the World Organisation of Neurosonology (WON) is scheduled to be held in Athens from 6 to 8 November 2026. This specialized medical assembly serves as an international forum for neurologists, clinicians, and researchers to review advancements in neurosonology, a discipline that has expanded from vascular ultrasound into techniques such as brain tissue imaging, point-of-care ultrasound, and the detailed examination of peripheral nerves and muscles.

The scientific programme addresses the clinical evolution of the field and the emerging requirement for structured training and internationally recognized certification. The event format integrates technical lectures, interactive workshops, and dedicated networking tracks designed to facilitate global clinical collaboration. 

The academic leadership of the event is overseen by representatives from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and the University of Coimbra.
