Parklife: Beatles Symphonic
The songs of the Beatles have been reinterpreted countless times over the decades, but few bands lend themselves to a symphonic treatment quite as naturally as the Liverpool quartet whose melodies transformed popular music forever.
As part of the SNFCC's popular Parklife concert series, the National Symphony Orchestra and Choir of ERT present Beatles Symphonic, an open-air tribute that reimagines some of the band's most beloved songs through the richness and scale of orchestral performance. Under the baton of Michalis Oikonomou, audiences can expect symphonic renditions of timeless classics including Let It Be, Yesterday, Hey Jude, Come Together and Here Comes the Sun.
Set on the Great Lawn of the Stavros Niarchos Park, one of Athens' favourite outdoor gathering spots, the concert combines the communal atmosphere of a summer festival with the grandeur of a full orchestra and choir. Whether you're a lifelong Beatles fan or simply looking for an unforgettable evening under the stars, this free concert promises a fresh perspective on some of the most enduring songs ever written.
