As part of our ongoing strategy to establish Athens as a leading premier wedding destination for the Chinese market, This is Athens-CVB was proud to host  a key delegation of industry experts from China. This pivotal fact-finding mission -a multi-day familiarization visit- was designed to build meaningful partnerships and provide the delegation with firsthand insight into the incredible opportunities within the Greek tourism sector.

A delegation of experts for an immersive Athenian Experience

Hailing from the city of Nantong and the provinces of Jiangsu, Hubei, Hunan, and Sichuan, the group's expertise spanned the full spectrum of the wedding sector. Our guests  included  specialists in everything from bridal fashion and event planning to beauty services and audiovisual production, ensuring a comprehensive exploration of our city's potential.

The familiarization trip featured an immersive itinerary that showcased the very best of our city. The agenda included inspiring tours of iconic Athenian landmarks and deep dives into local Greek wedding customs, highlighting the unique and authentic experiences Athens offers to couples seeking a truly memorable celebration.

Looking Ahead: A Bright Future Together

The successful visit concluded with an intimate memorable networking dinner for 20 guests at NYN ESTI, the stunning restaurant at the National Museum of Contemporary Art (EMST). Against a backdrop of panoramic city views, where guests truly connected over fine cuisine, marking a promising start to a fruitful collaboration. With sweeping views of the city, this setting provided the perfect atmosphere for open conversation, future planning, and genuine connection.
