CONVIN: 8 Conferences in 7 Weeks

8 Conferences in 7 Weeks: CONVIN Wraps Up One of Its Most Demanding Periods as the Mediterranean Journal of Rheumatology Hits Record High Impact Factor

Athens, July 2026 – CONVIN has successfully concluded one of its most operationally demanding periods, managing eight scientific conferences and educational events across Greece, Belgium, and the United Kingdom within seven weeks. Concurrently, in the domain of Scientific e-Publishing, the Mediterranean Journal of Rheumatology (MJR) - published with CONVIN’s editorial support - recorded the highest Impact Factor increase in its history.

Eight Events in Seven Weeks

From mid-May to early July 2026, CONVIN oversaw the complete organizational and technical management of eight distinct scientific events spanning a broad spectrum of disciplines - from pharmacology and internal medicine to pediatric cardiac surgery, computer science, and healthcare technology.

The line-up included:

  • 13th National Conference of the Hellenic Society of Basic and Clinical Pharmacology (HSBCP) – Patras (May 15 -17)
  • ESIM Summer School (European School of Internal Medicine) – Alexandroupoli (May 31 – June 6)
  • One-Day Conference "When Immunology Meets Internal Medicine" – Athens
  • (June 12)
  • ECHSA 2026 – Annual Meeting of the European Congenital Heart Surgeons Association – Leuven, Belgium (June 18–20)
  • MDM 2026 – 27th IEEE International Conference on Mobile Data Management – Athens (June 29 – July 2)
  • EAPD 2026 – 18th Congress of the European Academy of Paediatric Dentistry – Liverpool, United Kingdom (July 1–4)
  • HDMS 2026 – 20th Hellenic Data Management Symposium – Athens (July 2–3)
  • ICIMTH 2026 – 24th International Conference on Informatics, Management and Technology in Healthcare – Athens (July 3–4)

The peak occurred between June 29 and July 4, when three international conferences ran simultaneously or back-to-back, requiring synchronized coordination of teams, partners, and infrastructure across three different countries.

The Complexity Behind Every Event
The success of these events rested on a seamless blend of technical, organizational, and creative management.

  • Technically: Each conference featured its own tailored digital infrastructure, including online registration systems, abstract submission platforms, custom websites, and continuous tech support.
  • Operationally: Managing multiple overlapping events called for tight coordination between venues, scientific committees, vendors, and personnel across Greece, Belgium, and the UK under stringent timelines.
  • Creatively: Recognizing that each scientific community has distinct needs and expectations, CONVIN designed a bespoke visual identity and delegate experience for every event.

A Historic Milestone for the Mediterranean Journal of Rheumatology

During the same period, the Mediterranean Journal of Rheumatology (MJR), the official scientific journal of the Rheumatology Society of Serbia and Professional Association of Rheumatologists, announced a new Impact Factor of 2.1, up from 1.4 the previous year. This represents the largest year-over-year increase in the journal’s history, cementing its growing international reach and scientific acclaim.

The Impact Factor measures the average frequency with which articles published in a scientific journal are cited in international literature, serving as a key benchmark for evaluating a journal’s academic influence. This achievement reflects both the high quality of the published scientific work and the systematic editorial support provided through CONVIN’s Scientific e-Publishing services.
