Onassis Discussions: Gillian Anderson in Conversation with Afroditi Panagiotakou

Long before she commanded the screen as Margaret Thatcher in The Crown or sex therapist Jean Milburn in Sex Education, Gillian Anderson achieved literal rock-star status as Special Agent Dana Scully in The X-Files. Armed with skeptical brilliance and a brilliant wardrobe, Scully didn't just break the mold for women on television, she triggered the real-world "Scully Effect," inspiring countless young women to pursue careers in science, law, and medicine.

This January, the award-winning actor joins Afroditi Panagiotakou, Director of Culture at the Onassis Foundation, for an intimate, unfiltered conversation on the Main Stage at Onassis Stegi. Set in Neos Kosmos, one of Athens' powerhouse venues for contemporary performing arts, the talk delves into desire, career risk-taking, and what it takes to navigate legendary stardom on your own terms. The evening is accompanied by a special retrospective film and TV tribute celebrating her career highlights, and Anderson will host a limited book signing immediately following the talk.
