Music Technopolis

Officially, September marks the start of autumn, but in Athens the legendary summer has a habit of lingering. Warm evenings, open-air concerts and life lived outdoors continue well into the month, making it one of the city's best times to enjoy live music. Music Technopolis embraces that spirit with a packed programme of 16 nights of performances, proving that festival season is far from over.

The programme brings together anniversary concerts, much-loved artists and lively festivals, offering an excellent opportunity to experience the breadth of Greece's contemporary music scene alongside international sounds. Whether you're curious to discover local acts or already have a favourite, there's something happening almost every night.

02/09, 9 pm: Grigoris Samolis
 A celebration of Cretan musical tradition, blending heartfelt songs and the vibrant spirit of a traditional island feast.

03/09, 8.30 pm: Leonidas Balafas
 A beloved singer-songwriter marks 20 years in music with an evening of folk-inspired songs, storytelling and laid-back, feel-good energy.

04/09, 9 pm: Spyros Grammenos
 Expect an unconventional, audience-led performance where witty songs meet comedy, with appearances from some of Greece's favourite stand-up comedians.

05/09, 8 pm & 08/09, 9 pm: K-POP FEVER
 A high-energy celebration of K-pop culture featuring music, choreography and fan-favourite hits.

07/09, 9 pm: Skiadareses
 The viral singing sister duo returns after a sold-out summer show with their trademark blend of satirical lyrics, indie sounds and irreverent humour.

09/09, 9 pm: Hat Trick & Fundracar
 A double bill of rock and alternative acts delivering an energetic night of powerful guitars and live intensity.

10/09, 9 pm: Hatzifragketa
 Known for their cult following, the band mixes rock, humour and sharp social commentary into an entertaining live show.

11–12/09, 5.30 pm: Rock Hard Festival
 Two days dedicated to rock and alternative music, bringing together a line-up of established and emerging bands.

14/09, 7 pm: Rationalistas
 One of Greece's best-known hip-hop groups, performing politically charged lyrics and socially conscious rap.

16/09, 7.30 pm: Mora sti Fotia
The legendary punk band celebrates 40 years with a special anniversary concert, marking four decades of influential Greek-language punk and rock. 

18/09, 8.30 pm: Nightstalker
 Greek stoner metal pioneers mark 30 years of their landmark album USE with a special anniversary performance packed with hard-hitting riffs.

19/09, 6 pm: RIZES FEST
 A one-day festival celebrating Greece's rich folk traditions through contemporary interpretations of traditional music.

20/09, 9 pm: Giorgos Mazonakis
 One of Greece's biggest live performers brings the Music Technopolis season to a rousing close with his signature mix of pop and laïko (contemporary Greek folk-pop) hits. A dramatic entrance and a flamboyant style come as part of the show too.
