Nazareth
There aren’t many bands still flying the flag for classic hard rock quite like Nazareth. More than five decades on, they're still proving that big riffs, blues swagger and a healthy dose of Scottish grit never go out of style. Last time, Athens was kept waiting due to an unexpected stopover in Frankfurt. Consider this the make-up gig we’ve all been owed.
The opening riff of Hair of the Dog is worth the ticket alone. Throw in Razamanaz, Love Hurts and the kind of no-frills rock'n'roll Nazareth have been perfecting for more than half a century, and you've got yourself a very good reason to be there. Loud, honest and refreshingly free of gimmicks, Nazareth remain one of those bands that let the music do the talking.
This time, there's nothing standing between Athens and a night of classic rock done properly.
