INTERSECTIONS: Bidirectional Memory
CITRONNE Gallery launches a new annual series of group exhibitions with INTERSECTIONS: Bidirectional Memory, bringing together seven artists of different generations and practices in a shared exploration of how the past is revisited, reshaped, and carried into the present. Drawing, sculpture, ceramics, video, and installation meet in a show where memory becomes both subject and method.
The exhibition moves through childhood games, fairy tales, the circus, and Commedia dell’Arte, creating a visual language that shifts between wonder and unease. Works by Kostis Velonis, Eugenia Vereli, Chrysi Papadaki, Aliki Papadimitriou, Natalia Papadopoulou, Nana Sachini, and Eugenia Fragolia unfold as a conversation across the gallery, linking personal recollection with collective imagination. What emerges is a thoughtful and atmospheric group show about transformation, memory, and the strange persistence of early images in adult life.
