Borderline Festival 2026
If you’re looking for the absolute best use of the new Onassis Ready space, clear your diary for the first weekend of April. Borderline, the Onassis Stegi’s longest-running music festival, is returning to this former industrial factory in Rentis, now transformed into a "factory of experiences." It’s the perfect setting for a two-day deep dive into the "ocean of sound," where 90s legends rub shoulders with the absolute cutting edge of the contemporary scene. Across two massive stages—the Ground Level and the Basement—25 artists will be pushing the boundaries of techno, psych, and bass.
Friday 3rd April: Psych-Rock & UK Bass
The opening night sets a moody, eclectic tone. The big draw is a rare appearance by J Spaceman (of Spiritualized and Spacemen 3 fame), performing a live soundtrack to William Eggleston’s cult film Stranded in Canton. Expect something raw, boozy, and beautifully hypnotic.
Over in the Basement, things get a bit more raucous. We’re particularly excited for Ben UFO, one of the UK’s most respected selectors, who’ll be bringing his signature blend of house, techno, and "bizarre secret weapons." He’s joined by the genre-crushing aya, whose live show is a visceral mix of punk energy and internet-age experimentalism.
Saturday 4th April: Techno Royalty & 90s Legacies
Saturday is all about the evolution of the dancefloor. In a massive booking for the city, the absolute titan of techno Jeff Mills takes the stage to show everyone how it’s done. But before he closes the night, you can catch The Sabres of Paradise (the pioneering group founded by the late, great Andrew Weatherall), bridging the gap between 90s rave culture and the sounds of tomorrow.
Local legends Black Athena will be setting the pace early on, while POLYXENE and Sofia Stergiou keep the energy high with futuristic bass and liquid electronic beats until the early hours. Expect plenty of strobe lights and a very loud, very immersive sound system.
