Mediterranea: Visions of an Ancient and Complex Sea
This exhibition at the Eugenides Foundation explores the Mediterranean as a shared space shaped by history, culture, and movement. Using satellite imagery, photography, video, and immersive installations, Mediterranea presents the sea as a living archive of civilisations, myths, and exchanges that continue to shape the region today.
Alongside its cultural depth, the exhibition also looks at contemporary challenges such as climate change, coastal erosion, migration, and mass tourism, offering an accessible overview that brings science and art together.
