The 31st Athens International Film Festival, Athens Premiere Nights
Athens rolls out the red carpet this October as the 31st Athens International Film Festival returns with 12 days of must-see cinema, exclusive premieres, and a packed programme of special events. Catch some of the year’s most talked-about films, from indie gems to major international titles, at beloved city cinemas like Danaos, Astor, Cinobo Opera, also at the Athens Concert Hall or else Megaron, and Olympia Municipal Music Theatre.
This year’s festival opens with a bang on October 1 at the Athens Concert Hall (Megaron), featuring the Greek premiere of Bugonia, the latest mind-bending film from Oscar-nominated director Yorgos Lanthimos, starring Emma Stone and Jesse Plemons.
Tickets are just €8–10, with festival passes (€80 for 10 films) available from September 22 via more.com. Single ticket sales open September 26 and yes, many screenings sell out fast.
