Fabrika Night 2022
Tis the season to be jolly… or not. Resist the festive status quo with Fabrika Night 2022 at Fuzz Club, the annual darkwave meeting of all melancholy souls out there. After all, “Sadness is Rebellion” as Lebanon Hanover sings.
Athens-based Fabrika Records is more than a label, it’s a community of bands and fans sharing their love for the darker side of music. Headliners Lebanon Hanover started out in 2010, a British-German duo who do everything themselves; from creating their music to producing their own videos, in their trademark cynical romantic fashion.
They are joined by Selofan, an Athenian darkwave band with a strong theatrical stage presence who sing in English, German, and Greek. Expect strong 80s goth vibes with the obligatory saxophone and drum machine combo.
Finally, the Glass Beads from Ukraine are one of the latest additions to the label. Their “neoclassical cold wave” borrows from silent film aesthetics, merging together elements of the 1920s and the present.
