Athanasios was a wonderful host. In the lead up to the walk he was very contactable and responded to many enquiries that I had. On the night he built a walk that was based around both my wife and my interests and it felt very personal and intimate. His English was far better than my Greek which made things very easy and the mix of information about modern Athens built against ancient Athens was excellent for a history nerd like me. My only problem was we were so tired from only just flying in that afternoon! Otherwise I would have asked to stay with Athanasios for longer. Such a great guide and wonderful initiative by the city, highly recommended.
