Since antiquity, Greek sculptors and painters have been pre-occupied with the female form. Now an engaging new exhibition implants woman as both anthem and muse by looking at how the fairer sex has been portrayed in Modern Greek art over the past two centuries. Dozens of Greek artists present their portraits of women and of family scenes that best highlight the role and position of women from 19th century Greece onwards.
