Both buildings were likely former residences. Number 16 was originally two buildings, now joined by a courtyard.

Why it's important

There’s always something interesting happening at this small, forward-looking museum. You’ll find everything from kid-friendly replicas of ancient Greek machines to exhibitions by major international artists.

Must-see

The large scale, fully functional model of the Antikythera mechanism (one of the oldest computers in the world) made of acrylic glass, so anyone can see how it works.

Fun fact

The tracks embedded in the street outside are part of the city’s original 21-line tram network that connected Athens from 1882 to the late 1950s.
